Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 23, 2026

Phad (“we,” “our,” “us”) operates the Phad Chrome extension and the website at phad.ad. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Account information: email address, display name, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text) when you create an account
  • Engagement verification data: timestamps confirming you engaged with campaign content (videos, images, or brand pages) to the required threshold, tab focus status, and playback speed—used solely to verify attention for payouts. We do not record what you browse outside of active Phad campaigns
  • CTP (Capture the Phad) data: Phad capture timestamps, number of Phads captured vs. shown, and whether you met the capture threshold—used to verify active attention during content engagement
  • Quiz responses: your answers to optional recall quizzes, used to determine jackpot eligibility
  • Click and site visit data: whether you clicked through to a brand's site, time spent on brand pages, and conversion events—used to calculate click, visit, and conversion bonuses. We only track visits to brand sites that are part of active Phad campaigns, not general browsing
  • Completion records: which Phad campaigns you completed, when, the amount earned, jackpot entry status, and jackpot outcomes
  • Wallet and withdrawal data: your wallet balance, withdrawal history, and Stripe Connect account ID for processing payouts
  • Extension storage: authentication tokens stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local to keep you signed in
  • Personalization preferences: your campaign interaction history, used to surface relevant campaigns via the For You feed. This data stays within Phad and is not shared externally

What we do NOT collect

  • We do not track your general browsing history
  • We do not monitor activity on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, or any other platform outside of active Phad campaigns
  • We do not collect or store payment card information (payments are processed entirely by Stripe)
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes

How we use your data

  • To verify your attention on Phad campaigns and process payouts including base payouts, click bonuses, visit bonuses, conversion bonuses, and jackpot winnings
  • To maintain your account, wallet balance, and transaction history
  • To prevent fraud and enforce anti-gaming protections
  • To personalize your campaign feed based on your engagement history
  • To provide brands with aggregated, anonymized campaign analytics
  • To improve the Phad service

Brand site tracking

Some campaigns include a brand site tracking pixel. When you click through to a brand's site from a Phad campaign, a lightweight script measures your visit duration and detects conversion events (e.g., signing up or making a purchase). This data is used solely to calculate your visit and conversion bonuses. We do not track your activity on brand sites outside of active Phad campaign click-throughs, and we do not install persistent cookies or trackers on brand sites.

Third-party services

Data retention

We retain your account and transaction data as long as your account is active. Financial records (completions, withdrawals, jackpot outcomes) are retained as required for accounting and legal compliance, even after account deletion. If you delete your account, we anonymize your personal information but preserve anonymized financial records.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@phad.ad. Account deletion is available in Settings on the Phad dashboard.

Platform content access

Phad accesses content on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Vimeo solely to detect active campaigns and verify engagement. For video platforms, we use embedded player data (current time, duration, playback rate) only during active Phad campaigns. For image campaigns, we detect viewport visibility and scroll position. We do not use any platform's official API to access or store user data. Phad interacts with the page DOM on supported platforms, not platform data APIs.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at phad.ad/privacy with an updated date.
